Car Alarms: Horn Sounds when Door is Open, car keyless entry, programmable mode

Question
I installed a  Commando KE-30 car keyless entry on my son's 1996 Honda Accord.  It has worked fine for 3 months.  Now anytime one of the 4 car doors is open the horn sounds continuously until the door is shut.  The lock/unlock feature doesn't work, but the transmitter light is one reflecting the button being pushed.   I tried to put it in a programmable mode, but that doesn't work either.  I thought maybe he somehow got it out of sync by manually unlocking the doors instead of using the remote.  I locked and re-locked manually, but had no success...

Help??

Answer
Well, it sounds like the keyless entry triggered the factory
alarm. You would need to send a neg pulse to disarm the factory
system at the same time you unlock the doors remotely.

Trouble here is only the factory remote can do that.
There is a blue wire in the drivers door that if grounded MAY
shut down the factory alarm, but hit or miss there.

Wish I had better news. Try Commando directly at 800-780-1409
to see if they can advise as to how the system
can get around your issue, or not.

Luck with it.
