Car Alarms: 1998 Cadillac Catera Security System, cadillac catera, 1998 cadillac catera

I was trying to obtain instructions of how to totally disable the security system in my daughters 98 catera. She cant lock her doors because when she does and she unlocks them with the key the alarm goes off. She has to relock the doors, close the door and reopen the door to get it to stop. We only carry liability on it so there is no advantage to having the stupid thing. Its driving us nuts! Is there a way to take it out or disable it completely? I saw your link www.wiringcharts.com and wirewerx.com but couldnt get either of the sites to work. Not sure if these sites are no longer good or if its just me that cant access them.

Does this "alarm" have a siren or, does it honk the horn instead?
