Car Alarms: Nustart 1000R & 2003 Pontiac Montana, pontiac montana, shock sensor

Question
I recently had the Nustart 1000R car alarm installed on my 2003 Pontiac Montana. It goes off all by itself at random times. I have disconnected the shock sensor at the advice of the installer, it makes no difference. I am at my wits end. Any advice you can give to solve this will make both me and my neighbor happy!

Answer
The installer missed the "factory disarm" wire connection.
If this is only a remote starter, then that needs to be addressed.
Take it back in.

If it also has an alarm, and is being triggered (SIREN)
even with the shock sensor unplugged, the door triggers
are wrong, and it is current sensing, reads a spike on the
battery and goes off. This usually means the wrong wire
was used in the Montanna, or not programmed correctly
from the remote starter.

Either way, they missed it. Needs to be inspected and
corrected.

Good luck.
