Car Alarms: 98 4runner Alarm Reset, alarm features, 4runner

Question
I left the lights on, so the battery run out of power, so I opened the car to get the trunk open, once the battery was charging the anti theft alarm went on, and I try starting the car but it doesn't work, the battery is charge now, but everytime I opened the car the alarm goes on and the car won't start. How do you reset the anti theft alarm to normal mode?

Please try to locate the valet switch
to overide the alarm.

If you would read some of the previous
posts I made on this subject, you will
see the procedure to toggle into and out
of valet/override mode. It allows
you to set and reset the starter kill mechanism
as well as all other standard alarm features.

This should also apply to yours.
