Car Alarms: CLIFFORD ALARM - NO LED LIGHT ANYMORE? HELP?, valet mode, clifford alarm

Question
Hi

I have a Honda Accord 2000 4DR and when it was purchased it came with a Clifford Intelliguard 7000 (I believe) alarm. With a glass sensor, siren, plainview switch and led light.

Recently, the alarm was showing signs of issues.
First the alarm would make a sound like the battery in the remote was weak when I armed the car.  So I replaced the batteries and the issue disappeared.  Then the car would have instances were the alarm would go off without any signs of alerts.  One time I recall I armed the car, stood next to it for about 2 minutes and out of no where the alarm went off.  So to keep the alarm from going off late at night I would just put it in valet mode.  In doing this for 2 months, I started to see the light blink even in valet mode which got me worried.  I would park the car while in valet mode, exit the vehicle and lock the doors with the alarm and then the light would start to blink but it was not armed.  It also sometimes blinked and sometimes didn't.

There was other times when I would park the car, turn off the car and it would randomly blink.

Well I kept it in valet mode with the worry it may cause me to stall randomly on the highway so I left it and kept driving without any issues.  Then finally about a week ago the light completely shut off.

The alarm buttons on the remote no longer work, the alarm light hasnt turned back on and it seems to be completely off.  However my car completely works fine and has not shown signs of stalling or relation to having an alarm.

I am not sure where to begin to look to resolve this issue but would greatly appreciate help in attempting to troubeshoot this problem.

Any direction would help me save a ton of money because I know electrical work can be costly to resolve.

Any options or things I can do to check it out?
Or atleast get an idea of how to get my alarm working again?
