QuestionI have read previous questions and answers on how to deactivate the alarm system but still cant figure this out. We have tried to start the car again and again and the alarm goes off when trying to start it. Is the valet switch the red button on the lower left dash? this is a button you push in , but is not spring loaded. you have to push it again for it to turn on and off. can u help us please,
AnswerIf your alarm also is a remote starter,
the buttoN may be inset into the antenna
on the windshield. If no antenna is on the windwheld,
then it's likely to be under the dash drilled
into the left leg/knee area.
But normally a valet is a spring loaded, push in
and it pops back out button. Yours may be broken perhaps?
It may not even be the button we are looking for.
Does your remote have an FCC ID# on it?
If so, try to ID it at www.keynfob.com and
then it may clarify what we are dealing with.
