Car Alarms: Jeep Wrangler/rattler alarm, technical support desk, rattler alarm

Question
We have '01 Jeep Wrangler with a rattler alarm. At times, the alarm will go off and we can't get it to stop and the Jeep won't start.  

I've tried tapping the brakes twice and then punching the button on the keychain alarm.  That did not work.
