Car Alarms: car alarm on a 1998 fiat punto, car alarm installation, alarmtek

i brought a 1998 fiat punto 16v sport in September 08, having taken the battery off die to charging it, when i replaced the battery my car alarm went off, i found out the alarm isn't an original fiat one, and do not have the security key to turn it off, however when i open my doors the hazard lights will continuously flash, or the alarm will sound again, i really need help on how to fix this as I'm hoping to sell the car :(
