Car Alarms: 2001 Mercury Sable alarm, 2001 mercury sable, mercury sable

Question
My car reacts whenever someone clicks their remote fob.
My park lights & dashboard lights flash, but the car remains locked.
I bought the car used in November & this is driving me nuts.
Why is it doing this, & how can I stop it?

Answer
It's receiving the same frequency as someone nearby.
Probably not intentional thow.

The odds are high, but not that high, that someone else
has the same freq. on they're car. Not cool, but you can
remove yours and or put it into override (see past posts on valet), but if it's me, replacing it is necessary. I hate that too,
and trying to track down the other "user" may be
close to impossible.

That's how I see it.

I hope you can rectify it without too much expense
and trouble.
