Car Alarms: disconnect car alarm, pontiac grand prix, door locks

Question
I have a 93 Pontiac Grand Prix with an after market alarm system. The horn portion of this was disabled a few years ago. In order to start the car, you have to insert the key and turn it, like you were going to start the car. Then you have to reach under the dash and push the rely button until you hear the door locks enable. Once you hear this, you can turn the key over and the car will start. The problem is that the rely button under the dash has broken so it won't make contact with what ever is needed to move the door locks. Therefore, I can't start the car. How do I totally disable the alarm where it will start like a "big girl car"? Help!
Thanks for any advise you can give me.

Answer
Lori,
Stop playing with it and have a tech yank it out in lue
of a new one you can control without making it
your life's work, or leave it out, repair the wiring
to pre install condition, and have a coke & a smile.
It's a 93 Grand Prix. Don't see alot of those
being stolen ;>)

Try key on, press in and hold that button for 6 to 8 seconds
until you get a chirp or, flash of the lights.
This should be valet. leave it this way. Car should
start all the time.

If no joy, take it to a local
tech to do what I said. It's junk, and it's messing you up.

Ditch it.
