Car Alarms: 2004 Acura tl factory alarm problems., 2004 acura tl, acura tl

Question
I just recently purchased the vechicle, and I didnt find out that the vechicle was a recovery theft item. I purchased the car in november, and I was having the factory alarm going on as soon as i tried to open the door. I took it to the acura dealership and they said that they would not touch it bc they said it was aftermarket, bc they said that the car engine would shut it self down if it was factory. So i had a aftermarket alarm put on shortly afterwards and no problems since and they told me the the alarm in it previously was factory. this afternoon December 27th, after leaving work my alarm went off again, and it still lets me drive with it blaring for two mintutes before it goes off that is until I open the door to get out.  I was wondering is it possible for me to just pull the fuse for the horn? Because at the moment the loud horn is the only thing bothering me right now. is it possible that i have both a factory and aftermarket intacted at the same time?  Any feedback would be appreciated.

Answer
Alrighty, not familiar with that system but try this:

You'll need to set off the alarm for a few seconds.
then, look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

At this point. the alarm would have reset.
If this had a starter kill relay installed,
it would now be opened, and the engine would
turn over when tried. This is override/reset.

You would repeat these steps to go back to
user mode but in your case, I'd leave it this
way until you can have a service technician
get under there and remove/replace & repair.
DO NOT leave this system in there or your
headache will get worse.
