Car Alarms: Nu1000R Will not start in cold weather., alarmtek, cold weather

Question
I have a Nu1000R remote starter and a 2002 Sienna Van.  My problem is quite similar to "Dan" being that anything below -10C and the van will start - run for three or four seconds and then turn off.  It does this three times and then stops.  I can get into the van and start it no problem with the key (as I usually plug it in).  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
The only thing I can suggest, not knowing the system involved, is that
if not connected now, make certain the TACH wire is use, and
the unit programmed to tach/rpm mode.

If in voltage or "current sensing" mode, then it's
likely going to be troublesome below zero.

This should allow you to start the vehicle everytime on the
first try.

I hope this helped.
