Car Alarms: remote car starter, remote car starter, keyless entry systems

Question
I have a remote car starter that is not working. The key chain transmitter is not sending out a signal. I do not have a owners manual for it. It is a DEI rpn471T. I was told i need a whole new system. Is there any way i can just get a new transmitter. It is for a 2001 ford explorer. the only other info on the transmitter is 266 rolling codes.Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks
