Car Alarms: sidewinder, keyless entry systems, diognosis

I have a 7100 sidewinder that came with my truck. recently the remote went bad and my local speed shop had two options for remotes that could be reprogramed . problem being the installer was trying to get the alarm into valet so he could program the remote but was not successful. he used a tester to check that the actual button was good buy sticking it into the grey wire pin and then hitting the button and it was making connection. He tried valet by turning the key forward and pressing the button once. If all this info is correct and the diognosis is a bad brain would you have access to a 7100 sidewinder brain. thank you
