QuestionI use the key to lock and unlock the doors on my 2003 dodge stratus. Do not even know where the key fob thing is any more. This has worked fine for the last two years. The other night though when I opened the drivers side door to get out the factory alarm started going off. The horn sounds and the head lights flash. Did not see any messages or indicators on the dash. Tried putting the key in the door and locking and unlocking it. Normally this resets the alarm and turns it off. However it kept going off. After about 5 or 10 minutes the alarm finally went off but the very next time the drivers door was opened (this time from the outside) the alarm went off again. It has happened several more times as well. Does not seem to matter if the door is opened from inside or out. Looked through the manual but could not find any ideas to help. Is there a fuse or something that can be replaced? Any ideas on what could have all of a sudden made it start doing this?
