Car Alarms: Premier Clifford alarm, keyless entry systems, clifford alarm

Question
Just pick up a used 2002 jeep wrangler.  On the key ring is a car alarm remote.  It has Premier TM on the back and Clifford on the back.  There are four buttons on the front numbered 1 to 4 in roman numerals and a small red toggle switch on the side and a little red light in the corner.  I haven't tried to push any of the buttons.  I don't want to put my jeep into "lock down" and not know how to undo it. What are the functions of this alarm?  Thanks
