Car Alarms: Alpine SEC-100S Car Alarm w/Remote, car alarm system, resident technicians

Question
We purchased a used 2001 Miata which had an Alpine SEC-100S car alarm system installed with a remote.  It is supposed to chirp once when you lock it and twice when you unlock.  Somehow, while trying to unlock it without setting off the alarm, I inadvertently "turned off" the chirper.  As mentioned, we bought it used and there were no instructions included regarding the remote and "programming" thereof.  This happened once before but somehow, through trial and error (and mostly accident)it started chirping again. I'm sure it has something to do with a sequence of pressing buttons but danged it we can figure it out. Can someone help me out with instructions on this one? My husband misses his "birdie" and it was all my fault. Help!
Thanks!

Answer
Hmmmm, On this one, the best thing here is
to go to my installers forum at
www.installsupport.com and see if
my resident technicians there can assist
with this project.

I unfortunately don't know the
system you are working with to advise
you properly on it's functions,
features, or trouble shooting
information. Better to check with a tech
that might.

Good luck there.
