Car Alarms: Astra 1000RS keyless remote with car start, saturn sl2, car doors

I had an Astra 1000RS Keyless remote start installed in my car over a year ago.  I have a 1996 Saturn SL2.  They did not connect anything to the horn so when I press lock/unlock, there is no horn honking to notify me it acknowledged I pressed a button.  This is not a problem with me, however they did hook it up so the parking lights flash when a button is pressed.  The problem I am having is sometimes and I have no idea why, but the lights will not flash when I press the button.  The only way I know it locked my car is to be standing close enough to hear the actual car doors lock.  This has happened once before and after about a month, I have no idea what I did but the lights started flashing again.  Is there a secret combination of buttons to press to turn this feature on and off?  I have the instructions and it does not mention anything about this.  Was hoping you may know or be able to point me in the right direction.  I called the auto place that installed it and they were not very helpful.  Any advice is appreciated.  Thanks.

No Dan, not secret. Just needs a wire from the
main harness hooked up to the horn wire at the
steering column so you get a notifying "honk".

Get the manual for ther system at www.scytek.net
then get the wiring chart for the Saturn at
www.wiringcharts.com to do the work.
