Car Alarms: Checkmate car alarm, kia sadona, resident technicians

Hi, i need your help! I bought a used Kia Sadona with a Checkmate car alarm, I had my battery in the car changed and now the car locks automaticly when i get out. I can't find a manual. Would you know how toget it out of default mode? or any way i could get it to work only when i hit the lock button? The # on the remote is...FCC TD JT3KT7A. i really hope you can help me! thank You :)
