Car Alarms: Kill Switch Problems!, ford winstar, override switch

Question
QUESTION: The kill switch on my truck has stopped working. It's an aftermarket kill switch, independent of the truck alarm (I have two different remotes, one for the kill switch only, the other for just the alarm.

Anyway, I had to get my truck towed because the kill switch was not sending the signal or something. I don't know how to disable it. Am I looking for a break in the ignition wires, or?

My mom had a kill switch on a Ford Winstar she used to have, that she bought from the dealer. The one in my Ranger looks the exact same (the remote anyway).

This may be the second post I made about this, I tried making one on my phone at my friend's  and I'm not sure it went through.

ANSWER: You need to get up to circuit city or best buys and replace the valet switch. Can't jury rig it I'm afraid. :>(

QUESTION: There was never a valet/override switch in the first place. I fixed the kill switch... One of the ignition wires was split and the 2 pieces were plugged into the box that i took out with my alarm, i just put the wire back in one piece and it worked.  To prevent problems like this in the future i would like to just get rid of the killswitch, but i can't find it. I don't know what i am looking for, or where to look. Right under the steering wheel seems to ahve nothing.

Answer
See starter kill relay:
www.RELAYHELP.com

locate the relay inline of the starter wire
cut out, butt connect to repair &
tape off the starter wire.

It's the only one with an after market
relay placed inline.

When testing, this wire shows 12 volts
only in the crank position.

Happy day.
