Car Alarms: Checkmate KD150 Security system upgrade, resident technicians, nissan pathfinder

Hello I have a 2002 Nissan pathfinder i just bought and it has the factory alarm and also the Checkmate KD150 Security system upgrade it will not allow me to put the alarm in passive mode so that the alarm or horn will not sound when locking or unlocking as well as if you open the door after 20 seconds when the car is unlocked the alarm goes off, do you have any ideas as to how disconnect this portion of the alarm and leave than basic lock and unlock with out the horn.

I did try the holding the lock and unlock for 2 seconds it gives me the lights flash 3 times to mean it is in passive mode, but i am still getting the horn.

There should be a 1 min delay setting in the features
setting for the Checkmate, but I don't know
the system.
