Car Alarms: car alarm, professional eyes, toyota matrix

Question
QUESTION: My 2004 Toyota Matrix won't start due to it's kill switch.  The car alarm, car alarm remote, & everything else works fine.  But when I open the driver's side door, the alarm goes off even if I use the remote.  When I put the key in the ignition, the car won't start.  I noticed that the blue light(which signals that the alarm is on) still blinks even though I used the remote to get into the car.

ANSWER: Alrighty,
You'll need to set off the alarm for a few seconds.
Then, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

At this point. the alarm would have reset.
If this had a starter kill relay installed,
it would now be opened, and the engine would
turn over when tried. This is override/reset.

You would repeat these steps to go back to
user mode.

Let me know what you discover.

QUESTION: I repeated the steps you told me to & I got the car to start.  But I noticed once I turned the car off, the alarm automatically turned itself on while I was still in the car.  So once I open the door, the alarm goes off.  My question now is how do I get the alarm, & starter kill, to function together after I override the system?

Answer
While in over ride, it needs to be taken into a reputable car alarm installer to inspect it and affect repairs to it. I am in no
position to diagnose it from here sir. Best to
get a set of professional eyes on this to make
corrections.

All alarms are different. You will need to identify what you have
and make the adjustments needed from it's manual.
