Car Alarms: jeep grand cherokee 1996, jeep grand cherokee, beep sound

Question
Hey there. My jeep every so often when i come into the car and turn it on the engine will go on for a second or two then turn off and then the lights will begin to flash, the main front car lights, and a red security word will flash on the dashboard and a ticking sound is heard. at this point there is no way to stop it, it ends on its own, usually after a min. If i open the car from the passenger side and then turn the car on a few min after an event like this the car runs ok. What is wrong with my car?

Id also like to know where i can buy a new alarm system and how much on average they run.

ps: i also dont have the alarm key anymore. And about a year or more ago we had to have the alarm that reminds you to put your seat belt on disconnected because it would randomly go off and make a loud constant beep sound.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

Answer
Hard to say just what is wrong with it.
If you do not have the remote, this is a big
issue because you can not reset this one without
it.

Alarms are always available at www.CARLARMMSTORE.com
but you should start with a local Dodge/chrysler
dealership for a remote replacement/programming to
stop the trouble you have right now.

First thing's first. Have Dodge inspect it then move onto
the after market ideas is my suggestion here.
