Car Alarms: Need Help with Wiring Issue, deimler benz, dodge chrysler

Question
Hello, I own a 2000 Chrysler Town&Country with a factory alarm, and Infinite Stereo System. In Feb my van was stolen and the stereo ripped out. I have an aftermarket stereo to install, but as soon as I got the stereo wired, the van refused to start. Actually, the engine turned over 3 times, but died as soon as I released the key. On the 4th time, the engine quit turning over completely. Also the brake lights are on continually. I have plenty of juice in the battery, and I've checked fuses and relays, but can't find anything wrong. I suspect it's connected to the autoshutdown in my alarm. Can you offer any advise?

Answer
This vehicle has the Chrysler/Deimler benz "smart key"
immobilizer in the ignition. When thery took out the radio,
they also popped the security chip.

Unfortunately, you will need to see the service
deptment at your local Dodge/Chrysler dealer for
repair/reset.

Wish I had better news, but those
are the facts ma'am. ;>)
