Car Alarms: Increasing the sensitivity on my Ultra 2-way lcd alarm system, alarm system, sensors

Question
The only time I've ever heard my alarm go off is if I opened the door of the car without unlocking the alarm system first.. I was under the impression I would have impact sensors and that if someone even pulled the handle the alarm would go off.  

Is there a way for me to change this or do I have to go to the installers.

Depends on the system, but likely to be
an installers issue. Won't take long, but
he/she will need to set the sensitivity under the dash
where the alarm is located, to suit your tastes,
tweeking it, testing it with you there so there
are no surprises.
