Car Alarms: Keyless entry works sporadically, keyless entry systems, fcc id

Question
I have an AUTOMATE key fob FCC ID:EZSDE1476 that worked great until recently.
the positive terminal on the battery was loose and making intermittent contact making it hard to start my durango. was only able to start it easily with the remote start and playing with the positive cable.  after changing the positive terminal the keyless entry was no longer reliable.  it would lock/unlock after pressing the button multiple times.  i just tried to reset it to no avail.  the LED light either doesn't work or was not installed as it has never flashed and definitely did not go solid nor did the alarm ever chirp during my attempt to reprogram it.  any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
