Car Alarms: AUTOMATE FCC ID EZSDEI474V, viper, sidewinder

Hi,

I just got me a second hand car with an AUTOMATE FCC ID EZSDEI474V car alarm in it.
I have no books with it with explanations about the car or alarm.
When i turn the alarm on, i hear the 2 beeps signal and when i turn it off the 1 beep signal.
But when the alarm is on, after about each hour the alarm gives a signal of about 10 beeps and then nothing anymore.
Its not the alarm sound but more like the activating sound but more beeps.
Also, on the remote control there is a blue button with AUX on it and a red button with an * on it, what do they do exactly.
