Car Alarms: 99 Dodge Caravan w/ aftermarket alarm - how to disable, dodge caravan, fuse block

Question
I have a 99 Dodge Caravan with what I believe to be an aftermarket alarm (Audiovox's Pursuit series, model# PRO-9349FT.) Because the van sits in the garage most of the time, I believe the alarm may be unnecessarily draining the battery. I would like to disable it permanently, but was unable to find a fuse in either the interior fuse block or the underhood power distribution center. Can you please give me some guidance on finding the correct fuse, and what else that fuse might be tied in to? If removal of the fuse is not appropriate, how might I disable the alarm? Is cutting of wires a viable option at this point?

Answer
No cutting!
Locate the brain box under the dash area and
unplug the harnesses to it until you are ready
to use it on a daily basis.

Best way in your case really.

This will preserve the integrity of the system and wiring.

Get out some basic tools, remove the under panel from
the steering column, locate the Audiovox brain and
complete the task.

Have a good day.
