Car Alarms: Adjust Sensitivity or Disable 2001 300M, vibration sensor, shock sensor

Question
There is probably an answer to this on the internet somewhere, but it eludes me.  My 2001 Chrysler 300M has a alarm that is so sensitive, that when parked on the street the vibration of passing vehicles will set off the alarm.  Sometimes, I sleep through it, only to encounter a dead battery.  Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity or disable the alarm all together?  I've read a couple of horror stories about trying to do things and disabling the whole vehicle.

Answer
If there is an impact/vibration sensor
and a siren, this is an after market system and will have
a sensor box plugged into the brain.
You will find these under the dash board area.

Find the shock sensor (probably will have a blinking red or
green light) and there will be a tuning wheel inset into it.

Counter clockwise is usually the turn down direction.
I hate them, so if it's me, I'd unplug it alltogether.

Good hunting.
