Car Alarms: After Market Alarm System, toyota camry, flip switch

I have a 93 Toyota Camry and it has an after market alarm system on it. There is a small silver toggle switch located on it under my steering wheel. Sometimes my lights blink on and off and it won't crank, but there is no noise because i unplugged the horn. Why does this happen and how can i fix it?

Ah, ok, this is a basic after market alarm system.

Your valet switch is that silver toggle switch
(on/off type). in this case, it should be key on,
flip switch in opposite direction,
then turn the key off.

This should reset the alarm.

At this point, the only thing working would
be the keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped that way.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.
You may get 2 chirps, confirming it,
and the lights may flash twice as well.

Re attach the siren if interested in using the
alarm again.

That should do it.
