Car Alarms: engine immobilizer overider, starter interrupter, engine immobilizer

Question
We have a dodge truck we bought 4 year ago from the dealer (new). They sold us on an anti theif device that stops the key from working unless you press the remote first. The key for the truck is just a Dodge key and has no connetion to the device. We went back to a dodge dealership  recently and found out it was a third party product and not the manufacture. This was told to us by a parts employee who has worked at the dealership for awhile.  He could offer no suggestion on where to get the system deactivated. Do you know who was manufacturing this type of starter interrupter remote.  The remote resembles a spade (like in a deck of cards).

Answer
Hmmm, sorry no, I don't know the device.
On this one, the best thing here is
to go to my installers forum at
www.installsupport.com and see if
my resident technicians there can assist
with this project. I don't know
this system and can not advise you properly.

Good luck there.
