Car Alarms: Uninstalling a Clifford car alarm, clifford car alarm, support inquiry

My sister is giving my son a 1988 toyota. The alarm that is on it also has an ignition kill switch on it. They have tried to have it removed but have failed several times. Now when you go o start it if you don't start it all the way on the first try it shuts off the car. In order to start the car you have to get into the steering column and jiggle the wires, then it will start. I am open to any suggestions on how to remove this cursed thing. Help greatly appreciated. Thank you. Michele
