Car Alarms: Can I replace an 18-Y.O. car alarm remote control?, joe cassidy, pro tek

I have a Pro-Tek Auto-Mate car alarm remote control from 1990. It went through the washing machine and doesn't work now. The company doesn't answer the phone number provided and they don't seem to exist on the web. Well, 18 years have passed, after all. Anyway, how can I get a replacement?
