Car Alarms: Remote Start Question, vw jetta, alarmtek

Hi i have 2005 Vw Jetta GLI and i want to install just a remote start system, perferably one i can use my factory remote with, do you know what brand i could go with, and also is it possible to add a shock sensor or proximity sensor to this factory alarm?

Answer
No on the factory system, you will not be able to enhance it using
VW's base electronics. On the remote starter, you can use
the starterNR by Micro on this one utilizing your current factory remote (99.95). You will also need to get the bypass kit

IB-UVW - VW Transponder Bypass: Dealer Scan Tool Req'd
Transponder Bypass: RF override through induction using loop antenna. (transponder incl. no key required).
MFG Scan tool required. <<<<This means VW must help you
or you would need to buy it on your own.

So not the easiest vehicle but it can be done.
