Car Alarms: Code Alarm in 90 Ford TBird - removal?, ford tbird, fcc numbers

I have a "dealer installed" Code Alarm system in a '90 Ford Thunderbird.  Neither remote works well, and the system is a pain.  I have some electronics experience and have installed other keyless/remote start systems in cars.  Problem is, I can't find ANY documentation on this system.  I found the control module, and the only markings on it, other than FCC numbers, is a sticker with all the wire colors/designations and "E-6".

Google has turned up nothing for me.  Any suggestions?
