Car Alarms: Clifford Auto Immobilizer, auto immobilizer, metal key

Question
I recently purchased a Jeep with a Clifford engine immobilizer already in it. It does not have a remote, but rather a small plastic key fob with a round metal piece on the end that needs to be pressed to a round sensor mounted under the dash. When pressed against it for a few seconds the light goes off and I can start it. I want to learn about it, find maybe another fob or just uninstall it altogether but nobody seems to know what I'm talking about. (It looks like the little metal key they give you at copy machine places when you are making your own copies.) I'm just afraid I will end up stranded somewhere.
