Car Alarms: how to install alarm on 02 tacoma, representitive, remotes

I just purchased an '02 Tacoma from a dealer. They wanted to sell me an alarm system that the dealer had installed on the car. I thought it was somewhat pricey, so they unplugged a box or something from the car prior to delivery. The car has a Karr sticker on the window. I just want a basic remote alarm. What can purchase from you that I can plug in to replace what the dealer had in the truck?

They may have simply held back on the remotes.
