Car Alarms: 2004 honda cr-v alarm problems, 2004 honda crv, honda cr v

Question
hello, suddenly my 2004 honda crv alarm is acting up. first of all, it used to chirp once when i locked it and twice when i unlocked it. now, when i lock it it chirps once and then 3 more times. also, it's not supposed to lock itself if any of the doors are open and never used to, but now it does. it locks and resets itself. third, the alarm no longer sounds when someone tries to open the door and i've noticed it going off randomly a couple times without anyone near and no sounds or vibrations to explain it. what's going on with it and can i fix it by myself somehow? thanks!

Answer
Ok, all of these issues are related.
The door trigger wire seems to be incorrect.

Please take the car to a local car alarm shop
and have them re do the door trigger wire, and
to also make certain the shock sensor that was installed
is turned way down.

But from your very good description, you have discovered
a mis connected wire. Could even be a bad connector or,
a different wire (other than the correct one for
all the doors) that was attached in the first place.

No way for me to tell from my vantage point,
but that's what it appears to be.

Let me know if I was right.
