Car Alarms: 1994 Ford Mustang Alarm, mustang lx, ford mustang

Question
I have a 1994 Ford Mustang LX (I'm the original owner).  I had a Ford alarm installed (aftermarket).  My car sat in the garage for some time and when I started driving it again the battery charge is very low where sometimes when I turn the car off, it won't start back up without my having to get a jump.  Well my right blinker went out and I had a friend replace the bulb.  I forgot to tell them not to use the auxilary power since the battery is so weak and when I tried to start the car up to leave the battery was too weak, I heard a faint chirping of the alarm and then it wouldn't start.  Once I got the jump I normally have to push the unlock (alarm disengage)button and then the alarm would chirp to signal it's disengaged.  This time it did not do it, so I pushed the valet button that's under the dashboard on the drivers side.  It started, but only when I held the button in.  As soon as I released it, it cut off.  So in order to get home I had to tape the button in. I was going to buy a new battery since I needs one hoping it would fix it.

Please advise.

Answer
Get that new battery and try it again.
If the alarm does not recieve the voltage
it's supposed to have, the result is what
you are experiencing.

Once you have the charging system powered,
it should allow the proper control of the alarm.

Good luck.
