Car Alarms: 93 Buick Park Ave Ultra Security, buick park ave, theft deterrent system

Question
According to the instruction manual, the security system is only supposed to be enabled if I lock the doors while the doors are open. It says "If you don't want to arm the theft deterrent system, the vehicle should be locked after the doors are closed."
I always close the door and use my remote entry button to lock the doors as I'm walking away.
This worked for the first few weeks I owned the vehicle.
However, the alarm has gone off several times in the last week (both in the middle of the night and the middle of the day).
Right now I'm just keeping the doors unlocked. But that isn't a viable long term solution.
What options do I have?

Answer
Then you need to ground out the factory horn honk
and headlights flashing system to allow
for the Ultrastart to be used.

Locate the notes and see the "factory" disarm wire,
the splice into it and ground. I will not
bypass the VATS system, just the visual and
audible deterent part.
