Car Alarms: Pro 3500, mercury marquis, model mercury

Question
How do you remove the Code-Alarm Pro 3500 from an older model Mercury Marquis? It is my Mom's car, something has gone haywire, the power locks won't work, it randomly won't start and has to be disarmed by pushing the little button, and is basically a pain.  The dealer that installed it has gone out of business.  The mechanic that works on the car said he needed a code to uninstall it. What a mess.  Please help!
