Car Alarms: Keyless Entry Problem, resident technicians, keyless entry

I thank you greatly in advance for taking the time to look at my question. An after market keyless entry/power window unit was added to my car by the previous owner. For a while the locks would not always lock via remote or button on the door and the windows had the same reaction. Finally neither worked. I looked and noticed that the ground had become disconnected. I reconnected the ground. Still nothing. Changed out the two fuses and still nothing. My valet light blinks no matter which way the switch is switched.

Would you have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks!

The unit itself is an Audiovox model AA925 Rev00

That's hard to say. Pretty involved
