Car Alarms: 1997 CAR ALARM, 1997 toyota tercel, toyota tercel

I HAVE A 1997 TOYOTA TERCEL WITH THE FACTORY ALARM SYSTEM STILL ON. I HAD TO TAKE A TERMINAL OFF OF THE BATTERY. I OUT THE TERMINAL BACK ON AND NOW EVERYTIME I TRY TO START THE CAR WITH THE KEY THE ALARM GOES OFF AND WILL NOT LET ME START THE CAR. AND MY VALET SWITCH SEEMS TO NOT WORK EITHER. PLZ HELP!!!

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.
