Car Alarms: 2000 ford econoline/code alarm surestart lx, ford econoline, valet mode

Great site!! here is what happened leading to my question. I own a 2000 ford econoline conversion van,it has a code alarm surestart lx.I used the remote to auto start it yesterday & it started. I made the mistake of hitting the brake before engaging the ignition & it killed it. Usually if i have done this before,it starts. Now after doing some research online & trying all the reset options i could find,van will not start & not of the reset signs happen i.e.=dome light,door locks,horn. the led does not even come on.It only starts now if i turn the ignition all the way & hit the alarm reset. Now for the question = All the wires are in good order,grounded.From what i just described,does it sound like the unit died? any advise would be much appreciated. Thank You.

If it was me, I would start by going into and out of
valet mode. Then try it. If not happening,
then it's on to unplugging the surestart,
and checking all connection points.

Then re plug and try the remote start sequence again.
The software set up may simply need to power down
and back up again.

Try it.
