Car Alarms: alarm install, mustsang, wire colors

Question
I had someone install a car alarm in my 2000 mustsang they are having a problem with the door the alarm sets it self when the door is open and even when I start the car the alarm sets itself the installer said it has something to do with the alarm isnt sensing the door being open or being shut also I have a purple wire thats supposed to go to the coil but he doesnt know where it goes can you help please email me thank you
