Car Alarms: Horn wont chirp with any function, self tapping screw, honda accord

Question
installed a ultrastart 1270 into a 1994 Honda Accord. The system seems to function properly except the horn will not chirp with any function. I attached the proper color (white/blue)wire from the system to the horn wire (blue/red)on steering column. But the horn seems still not to work? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer
The dark blue with red stripped wire
is correct though. It can also be the
green/blue wire. Simple test. Get out a test
light. You know. the sharp tip circuit testor
with the light bulb in the handle.
Grounf the aligator clip to a solid chassis
ground, and probe one of the 2 wires. When
the wire recieves the ground, it will honk.
That's your wire.

You can also yry re-grounding the wire
for the ULtrastarter. Put it to a clean, bare
sheet metal ground. No wrapping around bolts
or screws! Use a self tapping screw, and an
eyelet and make your own hole.
Then try either wire again.

If still no joy, you may need to set up a relay to
drive the horn. (see negative relay application
at www.relayhelp.com ) & give the ground
pulse from the Ultrastart more "umph".

Happy installing!
