Car Alarms: Prestige Keyless Entry, chevy pickup truck, keyless entry system

Hello,

I just purchased a 1998 Chevy Pickup truck which came with a Prestige Keyless Entry System.  The model that I have is APS687.

Id like to note that this truck does NOT have power locks, so I'm wondering if this keyless entry system ever worked for the previous owner.  

To make a long story short, the keyless entry system does not work, with the exception of the lights flashing.  

Is there something that I can check to try and get this to work properly?

Without inspection, there's no way I can tell if it was
installed sir. Only thing to do here to determine that is to
trace all wiring. Take it in to a local shop so they can evaluate
your situation, and make the corrections or relay applications
if need be, to get the keyless enty set up.
