Question
i just bought a excalibur (AL-2000-EPD) alarm for my 2000 monte carlo, and i can not get my remote start nor my doors to unlock. i was wonderin wat should i do?

Answer
Hey , I get this one a whole lot
(as you probably have read.)

and of course, & unfortunately, yes this
vehicle has a the PASSLOCK II key
based engine disabling system, and will require a
GM PLJX bypass module to circunvent it and
allow you to remote start.

A bypass is required to interupt PASSLOCK for
remote start applications. It is done by
momentarily grounding the system to allow it to start,
then re establishing it for security usage.

This Passlock Bypass Module is designed to provide
a proper coded pulse to open the fuel rail
passlock injector cut off circuit.

The output from an alarm/remote starter
would then shut down the pulse, once it has detected
the engine has engaged, and preserve the integrity
of the passlock system.

That is it's designed purpose.

This is a self learning, resistor sensing
and self adjusting module. Once the VATS/PASSLOCK
wires have been tapped,
you would press the program button to learn,
and it does. It is required, or forget remote start.

Copy cut n paste the following payment link:

if you want to buy yours now,
or, go to the site link below to learn more
about your truck's system, and buy the
appropriate unit there.

The door locks are to be relayed.
I would get the wiring chart for the 00' Monte Carlo
at www.WIREWERX.com to get the info needed to
wire them correctly.
