Car Alarms: Car alarms and immobilisers, landrover discovery, car alarms

My 1994 Automatic diesel Landrover Discovery came with an alarm and a immobiliser.Had to get additional approved alarm for insurers - don't know brand. Occasionally the key to deactivate alarm system didn't work and I had to try various things in order to get it to work, e.g. take out key, open offside car door, etc. (short of turning my clothes inside out!).  Now the deactivating key will not work no matter what I do so I cannot start car.  What can I do? Sorry, but without being there to inspect
the system, it's difficult to advise.

Best suggestion is to tow to a local car alarm
install shop for evaluation and solution.

Sorry, but guessing from the description,
the starter kill device is malfunctioning, and I have
no idea what it is you have there and you'
deserve more than a simple guess.

Hands & eyes on, is the logical course here.
