Car Alarms: ANTI THEFT, lock switch, door jamb

Question
I HAVE A 99 WINDSTAR THAT WILL NOT STOP HONKING AT ME.
ITS ALMOST LIKE SOME BODY IS PRESSING THE LOCK BUTTON ON THE REMOTE REPEATEDLY BUT MY REMOTE WAS THROWN AWAY YEARS AGO.
IT WILL HONK AND LOCK THE DOORS BY ITS SELF EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING AND THE ALARM FACTORY ALARM WILL SOUND WHEN I OPEN THE DOOR.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
THANK YOU

Answer
You will need the factory remote programmed to it to
get around it, or locate
the light blue/black wire (factory alarm disarm wire)
at the door jamb in the harness
coming from the lock switch, splice into it and ground it
out. This resolves the factory alarm as it is kept disarmed
this way.

But that should solve it.

Good luck.
